1. Tulsi: One of the safest ayurvedic products, it stimulates the stomach to produce more mucous and its anti-ulcer properties reduce the effect of gastric acids. So in this way, it can give you relief from heartburn and stomache.

How to it—At the first sign of gas, chew on a few holy basil leaves for instant relief. or boil 3-4 basil leaves in a cup of water and let it simmer for a few minutes. Sip on it frequently.

2. Fennel Seeds

Fennel seeds have always been recommended by mothers and grandmothers to treat gastric troubles. It is because, these seeds contain oil that treats indigestion and also soothes acid reflux. It reduces bloating.You can either directly chew a few fennel seeds or soak them in a little water and then drink up water for relief from acidity and heart burn.

3. Cinnamon

This spice works as a natural antacid for stomach acidity. Not only that, Cinnamon is a powerhouse of nutrients and loaded with health benefiting properties. For relief, drink cinnamon tea. 7. Buttermilk

Buttermilk contains lactic acid that normalizes acidity in the stomach. It reduces acidity and heartburn. Buttermilk is categorised as a sattvic food in Ayurveda. So, the next time you get acidity after eating a heavy or spicy meal, skip the antacid and drink a glass of chaas instead.
